Cervical Whiplash

Whiplash is a neck injury caused by a sudden jolt snapping the head backward and then forward. Cervical whiplash injury can be separated into various grades, some treated with use of soft foam cervical collars or Philadelphia collars. Mild discomfort and stiffness of the cervical spine, along with the loss of small increments in range of motion are symptoms of a Type I whiplash injury.
